Being with the Seed
Workshop
10.00am 04 September 2022
Sarah Smuts-Kennedy is an artist and biodynamic gardener who has developed a garden on the land where she has built her studio, Maunga Kereru, which provides her, the birds and other pollinators, with organic produce all year round. She teaches Regenerative Organic Horticulture within the Social Sculptural project she initiated called For the Love of Bees which supports urban farming projects around New Zealand.
In this half-day workshop, participants will learn simple ways to integrate a few biodynamic and biological systems into their own gardening practice, including practicing inoculating seeds (saved from Sarah's garden Maunga Kereru) and exploring how to use the moon calendar. Participants will also be encouraged to share their own insights and their own seeds with other participants.
