Artist Talk
2.00pm 19 March 2022
Artist Rachel Shearer (Pākehā, Rongowhakaata, Te Aitanga a Māhaki) and Listening Stones Jumping Rocks co-curator Susan Ballard discuss Shearer’s sound installation Te Oro o te Ao in Listening Stones Jumping Rocks. Described as an assemblage of sounds found while listening for whakapapa and its accompanying stories, Shearer’s work takes us into the deep histories of the unfolding energies of the earth.
